About
Jane’s forty years of creative practice include paint, mixed media sculpture, print, ceramic and glass on a domestic scale; wrapped around 20 years as a couture milliner.
In new paintings and mixed media sculptures Jane is curating her own art, the work of other makers she has chosen to live with and curious found and imagined objects. These works are ‘cabinets of curiosity’ of the 21st century.
Jane lives and works in Berkshire, England. As a night owl she often works quietly to the sound of owl calls in the birch and oak trees outside her garden studio.
Jane is represented by ‘Gallery At Home’ in Wales
“Curiosity is my best feature and I believe curiosity is the core of creativity.”
This website marks a settled reopening to the world for Jane, sharing her work again after a few years of necessary retreat to overcome depression and breast cancer. Creative practice kept her afloat and she emerges with mindful gratitude and renewed creative energy.
“I have a creative plan for this year, and beyond, and I am immensely grateful to those who have stuck with me and to those reconnecting or discovering my work for the first time, all welcome!”
